While playing and composing this album, I experienced a possibility: the chance to access a new space, hidden from me until that moment. A space outside of time, where at the center of darkness there is a radiant light. Each time I had the opportunity to access this space, a piece of music was born, over the course of several years. Meanwhile, I felt gratitude permeate me, the simple awareness of living life.
The Cave is that space, which belongs to all of us. The Cave is also the heart, which I felt open up. Perceiving this sensation take form was like drawing seals that attest to the truth contained within it. For this reason, La Grotta è Aperta is sacred music. It is not tied to a religious tradition, but rather to the feeling of elevation it transmits when playing or listening to it. La Grotta è Aperta resonates with the rhythm of breath and heartbeat, dwellin in a timeless dimension. It is an album conceived as if it were played by a bodiless orchestra, where resonances, feedback, Tibetan bells, synths, and trumpet coexist in an electro-acoustic timbre, with intent as the only guiding coordinate.

The Cave is also that unfathomable mystery where shadow, light, death, and life are the same thing, whose threshold can be crossed in a single instant: now.
